Taqiy Abdullah Named Assistant Coach of the Year

Gym Crew co-founder Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons has been recognized with the nation’s highest honors after leading the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio, the Sooners scored 443.400, capping a second consecutive undefeated season and claiming the 10th NCAA championship in program history. Abdullah was voted the National Collegiate Athletic Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Men(NCAA/M) National Assistant Coach of the Year. For more information go to read more

OU CAPTURES MPSF CONFERENCE TITLE

Orlando Metro Name Ian Jackson as New Head Coach

GymCrew’s Manager of Gymnastics Affairs, Ian Jackson, has been named the new head coach for the Orlando Metro Gymnastics Junior Elite Boy’s Program.  Jackson comes into Orlando Metro hoping to help the program continue their tradition of developing world caliber elite level junior and senior gymnasts.  Perhaps the most important trait that Jackson brings to the table is knowledge of what it takes to win at the highest level.
